Current position: Programme Director for MA Immersive Arts, Professor of Performance and Creative Technologies
Prof. Paul Clarke has substantial experience in research, teaching and practice within immersive arts and creative technologies. As Professor of Performance and Creative Technologieshe leads on design futures in the Centre for Sociodigital Futures. As the Programme Director for the MA Immersive Arts (Virtual and Augmented Realities) at the University of Bristol, he will support teaching expertise on this programme at the Mumbai Enterprise Campus.
Co-director of the Centre for Creative Technologies at the University of Bristol, and a co-investigator on Immersive Arts, a £6m project that supports artists to explore the creative potential of extended reality technologies. In addition, the co-artistic director of theatre company Uninvited Guests, with which his practice-as-research explores applications of technologies in participatory futuring and place-based performance. Currently developing Future Places Toolkit, an Augmented Reality tool for engaging communities with planning consultation and shaping the future of their places.
