About the event

Welcome week marks the beginning of your journey at the University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus. As a member of our Founding Cohort, you will be among the first students to help shape the University's first campus in India and become part of a historic milestone.
Designed exclusively for enrolled students, Welcome week is an important part of starting your journey at Bristol. Across three days, you will be introduced to the Bristol community, settle into university life, and prepare for the exciting academic journey ahead.

Why attend our Welcome week?

Welcome week is designed to help you make a confident start to your Bristol experience. Over three engaging days, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections, familiarise yourself with your new learning environment, and gain valuable insights into university life.
By attending Welcome Week, you will:

• Become part of the Bristol community and connect with your fellow Founding Cohort.
• Meet the academic faculty and professional services teams who will support you throughout your studies.
• Explore the campus and discover the facilities, resources and student support services available to you.
• Prepare for the University's distinctive Pre-Semester Programme and your academic journey ahead.

Throughout Welcome week, you'll take part in activities designed to help you feel welcomed, informed and ready to begin your university experience.
You will have the opportunity to:

• Meet fellow students and start building lifelong friendships.
• Connect with faculty members and professional services staff.
• Explore the University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus.
• Learn about academic expectations, student support and campus life.
• Participate in interactive activities that encourage collaboration, confidence and community.
• Gain an introduction to the Pre-Semester Programme and the Bristol approach to interdisciplinary learning.

Who is this for?

Welcome week is exclusively for enrolled undergraduate and postgraduate students joining the University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus.

Whether you are relocating to Mumbai or already based in the city, Welcome Week will help you settle into your new environment, meet your university community, and begin your Bristol journey with confidence.

Students are expected to attend the full Welcome week programme from 20–22 August 2026 to ensure they are fully prepared to begin their studies.
